Baby Jack

A few months back I got to meet the charming Baby Jack. He was such a sweet heart and despite being really sleepy we were able to capture some new baby firsts, including my favorite, sitting up!

I loved how Stephanie had decorated the nursery, especially because of the beautiful blue color ;) She even made a family tree with images of Jack’s male relatives at the same age as Jack.

In Memory of Letsey Dodd

My grandma passed away last friday, January 2nd, and her funeral was held today. Everyone has been so supportive and really given me the opportunity to view death in a different manner. I am not depressed, or angry with the world, but happy that I got to spend part of my life with her :) She was an beautiful and strong woman, who battled Alzheimer’s Disease for over 7 years, and I could not be more proud of her.

While visiting her for the last time before she passed away, I wanted to take a few images to hold onto. I know how hard it is for many to photograph those who are ill or dying but I felt that I needed this image as part of my healing process.
