Last weekend I was privileged enough to be asked to shoot a wedding along side of Jonilyn, and Jason Q Tran. Both photographers have unique styles and I loved being able to watch them in action! The wedding was held at the Ayres Hotel in Manhattan Beach. The location was beautiful and no detail was left out, thanks to Paola of Just Chic Events. The day ran so smoothly and allowed for not only the guest to relax but also, Geoff & LeeAnn.
I had such a great time at the wedding, Thank you LeeAnn and Geoff for having us there to share your big day!
LeeAnn had many hand made details incorporated into her day, including the flower in her hair made by Myra Callan of Twigs and Honey. Most of her vendors were found on Etsy. It’s an awesome site for handmade things for your wedding. If you are a bride make sure to check it out!

Her custom made hanger cover was another beautiful detail of the day. Also made by another Etsy vendor, Holly Sew.

A few words exchanged before the ceremony

I was obsessed with LeeAnn’s flowers, I have never held a bouquet that smelled so good, the gardenias and roses put it over the top! I loved the detail of honoring Geoff’s grandmother, by having her handkerchief wrapped around the bouquet. Kristin Brancoleone of the Treasured Petal did an amazing job, every arrangement was fabulous!

Geoff and LeeAnn opted to have a first look before the ceremony. I loved that it gave them a ton of time to have portaits taken, so that they could spend more time with their guests during the reception.

LeeAnn’s hair stayed all day, despite the LA heat, thanks to Huyen Tran!

Some of the pre-ceremony details

I loved their hand tying ceremony, and the bright color ribbons they used

A happy moment during their ceremony. For my fellow runners out there Geoffs dad, Mike Manley, was actaually a past Olympian who ran the steeple chase in Munich! Not only that, he also ran on the same team as Steve Prefontaine (aka PRE!) and was good friends with Bill Bowerman who invented Nike! Check out an article on his running here. Haha, Mike was ripping up the dance floor later that evening!

Most of the reception I manned the photobooth, and there were definitely some great shots! Check in with Jonilyn’s blog for those shots, but I loved these few moments captured at the reception.
